How a fault gets fixed

From reporting the fault to signing off the work.

Anyone can raise a request. Engineering approves it, plans it and closes it, and every step is recorded against the asset.

Operator · on a phone

Report the fault

Scan the QR label on the machine, say what's wrong and add a photo. Engineering is alerted straight away.

Approve and assign

Set the priority, book engineers and contractors, and reserve the parts from stores.

Do the work

Record labour, issue parts, log downtime and complete checks. A failed check raises its own follow-on job.

Review the history

Use recorded costs and downtime in MTBF, MTTR and Pareto reports. Repeat breakdown alerts are included on Professional and Enterprise.

The everyday work

The work, the assets and the parts.

Start with the job in front of you. Keep its history, planned checks and parts in the same working system.

Asset register · Every plan

Find the asset and its history.

Follow the register from site to part, through eight levels. Documents, photos and work history stay against the asset.

  • QR and barcode labels
  • Move assets with a recorded history
  • Import from a spreadsheet
Planned maintenance

Give routine work a proper place.

Set date-based PPMs on every plan. Engineers complete checklists on their phone, with records kept against the asset. Professional and Enterprise add run-hour and meter-based scheduling.

  • Parent and child PPMs
  • Browser calendar on every plan
  • Gantt export to Excel on Enterprise
  • Statutory PPMs flagged
Stores · Professional & Enterprise

Check the parts before the job.

Find parts by store and bin, check stock levels and reserve them against work. Raise purchase orders and keep the purchasing record together.

  • Minimum and maximum stock levels
  • Reorder list and stock valuation
  • Part photos and barcodes
Meters · Professional & Enterprise

Let usage inform the schedule.

Record meter readings or weekly production hours so usage-based PPMs fall due with the work the machine has done.

  • Meter routes for walk rounds
  • Usage graphs
  • Meter replacement and reset
Reports · Full set on Professional & Enterprise

Use the work you have recorded.

The full set of 45 reports covers asset lists, downtime, costs and a monthly management pack. View, print or download as PDF; Excel export is on Enterprise.

  • Downtime, MTBF and MTTR
  • Planned versus reactive work
  • Reports emailed on a schedule
Mobile · Every plan / Wallboard · Professional & Enterprise

Record the work where it happens.

The engineer app opens in a phone browser and can be added to the home screen. A rotating workshop wallboard gives the team a shared view.

  • No app store needed
  • Camera scanning
  • Email notifications
Statutory compliance

Keep track of statutory checks.

Mark a PPM as statutory, name the regulation and the CMMS tracks it alongside your compliance register.

Warnings go to the people you choose a set number of days before each check is due, and again if it goes overdue.

The Statutory checks due report lists everything overdue or due in the next 30, 60 or 90 days, ready for an audit.

Signed records show who did the work and when, with an audit trail of every change.

Accounts and extras. Maintenance managers count as engineers. Contractors, suppliers and read-only viewers are free on every plan. Need more engineers on Basic or Professional? Add 5 more for £75 a month.

Onboarding. Optional onboarding, where we import your asset register, set up your PPMs and print your QR labels, is £495 one-off and free with annual Professional and Enterprise plans.

Prices exclude VAT. Monthly and annual prices are shown above.

Your data

Your workspace and your records.

Separate workspace

Your own workspace

Each customer gets their own application and database. Your records never share a database with another company.

Sign-in and audit trail

Two-factor sign-in

Administrators sign in with an authenticator app. Sessions close after 30 minutes idle, and every change is in the audit trail.

Backup and restore

Verified backups

Backed up every 6 hours and kept for 7 days. Every backup is checked after it's taken, and it can be restored into a separate test copy without touching the live system.

Export your records

Take it with you

Every report downloads as a PDF, or as Excel on Enterprise, and your data can be exported at any time.

Questions

Common questions

Do engineers need to install an app?

No. The engineer app opens in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen. It uses the camera to scan asset and part labels.

Can we bring our existing asset list?

Yes. Download the import template, fill in your assets, parts and PPMs, and upload it. Missing buildings, floors, rooms and cells are created for you, and nothing is saved until every row is valid.

Who counts as an engineer?

Engineers and maintenance managers. Requesters who only raise faults, read-only viewers, contractors and suppliers are unlimited on every plan.

Can engineers complete jobs without a signal?

WorksReady currently needs an internet connection. Offline job completion is not available, so check coverage where your engineers will use it.

Can we move between plans?

Yes. Your records stay as they are; the extra features and accounts switch on when you upgrade.

Does it handle more than one site?

Every plan supports several sites in one asset register. Enterprise adds site security, so you can choose which sites each person can see.

Who built it
30+

Years on the tools, in the office and in the boardroom.

WorksReady was built from the ground up by an engineer who has used CMMS systems for over 30 years, as an engineer, as a maintenance manager and as a site director. Every screen is designed around one of those three jobs.
